What is OwnX

OwnX is Experiments by Own: the protocol's experimental arm, building the DeFi layer for real-world assets.

Own's core product is eUSD, the stablecoin backed by the S&P 500. Everything else the protocol builds on top of tokenized real-world assets ships under the OwnX label first: tokenized stocks you can hold in a wallet, vaults that earn lending yield for backing them, borrowing against them, and margin trading on top of them. OwnX surfaces move faster than the eUSD core and carry their own risks — the label is there so you always know which kind of product you are using.

In the app (own.money), everything under the OwnX tab is an OwnX surface: Trade, Borrow, Lend, Margin, Portfolio, and Vaults.

The eTokens mechanism — minting, the PSM, backing, oracles, exits — is documented in full in this section; start with the eTokens overview. The deep technical treatment is the eToken whitepaper.
