What is Own
Own is a DeFi protocol on Robinhood Chain built on one stack:
| Product | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|
| eUSD | A decentralized stablecoin minted against eSPY (the tokenized S&P 500), with staking that pays SPY yield from real trading fees | Live |
| OwnX — Experiments by Own | The DeFi layer for RWAs: eTokens (tokenized stocks and ETFs like eSPY, eTSLA, eNVDA), liquidity vaults, borrowing, and margin | Live |
Both run permissionlessly on Robinhood Chain (chainId 4663) and settle in USDG. All contracts are open source and verified onchain.
eUSD in one paragraph
eUSD is an overcollateralized stablecoin. You deposit eSPY, mint eUSD against it at a minimum 150% collateral ratio, and keep all the upside on your eSPY. Any holder can redeem 1 eUSD for exactly $1.00 of eSPY at the oracle price, which hard-floors the peg. Staked eUSD earns SPY streamed from the trading fees of the $MONEY token, not from emissions. The design follows Liquity, whose mechanism has kept LUSD solvent since 2021, adapted for stock collateral that trades on market hours.

OwnX in one paragraph
OwnX is Experiments by Own: the protocol's experimental arm, building the DeFi layer for real-world assets. Its flagship products are eTokens, plus the liquidity vaults and borrowing built around them. In the app, everything under the OwnX tab is an OwnX surface.
eTokens in one paragraph
eTokens are Collateral-Secured Tokens (CSTs): standard ERC-20s that track real asset prices. Each is backed by two layers. Layer one is a protocol-owned Reserve Vault holding real tokenized stock (wrapper tokens from regulated issuers) 1:1 by value. Layer two is pooled LP crypto collateral that insures whatever the reserves do not cover. Minting and redeeming run through an RFQ marketplace (signed firm quotes, atomic settlement) and through the PSM, a fee-free two-way converter between wrapper tokens and eTokens. Every holder has a guaranteed exit and holders are never liquidated.
