$MONEY token
$MONEY is Own's protocol token. It is live on the Pons launchpad, paired against SPY, and its trading fees are what fund staking yield and the $MONEY burn.
Fair launch
$MONEY went live without a presale. Anyone who wants it buys it on the open market, like everyone else, and the market has set the price since the first trade.

| 60% | Stakers, via the protocol treasury | The SPY reward stream (see Staking) |

The flywheel
- $MONEY trades. The pair is against SPY, the same asset that backs eUSD, so activity in the token deepens the ecosystem's core market.
- Fees split onchain. 30% buys and burns $MONEY, 60% streams to eUSD stakers as SPY, 10% funds the protocol. Real revenue, verifiable block by block.
- Stakers earn, holders benefit. The stream draws more eUSD to be minted and staked, while the burn makes $MONEY scarcer just as boost demand locks more of it up.
More demand for the yield brings more eUSD minting, more eSPY collateral, and more attention on the pair, which generates the fees that started the loop. The full loop is drawn out on the Staking page.
What $MONEY is not
- It is not required to use eUSD, mint, redeem, stake, or exit. Every core protocol function works without holding $MONEY.
- It carries no yield by itself. Staking $MONEY alongside eUSD boosts your share of the SPY stream, up to 3.60×, but the yield is paid on the eUSD principal.
